Heck Yeah!
Ministry Update February 16, 2020
Unlike last week where there were so many encouragers, there weren’t any this Friday night. But just like last Friday, I had another person mocking about Hell and he was proud that he is headed for Hell. The message this Friday was positive. It was about joy, real joy, the joy that is found in Christ Jesus alone. The only mention of Hell was toward the end when I pleaded with people to repent and trust Jesus for salvation instead of dying in their sins and going to Hell. I was basically asking the question: Why would you die and go to Hell when the young man yelled Heck Yeah!
I told him that there are no parties in Hell. People are suffering torments in Hell right now. Continuing on, I told him that he may just be trying to impress his girlfriend, but this is not a joke. On Judgement Day he will remember this conversation. I tried to warn him to repent and trust Jesus. He flipped me off as they got into the car. Then when he pulled out of the parking lot, he flipped me off again. He had his window cracked, so I warned him that on Judgment Day he will bow his knee and he will confess that Jesus is Lord. Then Jesus will have His servants cast him into the lake of fire and brimstone. Again, I pleaded with him to repent and surrender his life to Jesus.
Repeat Of The Week Before
It was raining and cold at Missouri State University on Wednesday and it was a repeat of the week before. I brought a message about how Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, how He suffered like no other, enduring the wrath of God for sinners who repent and trust the Lord. Just last week, there weren’t any encouragers or mockers. Just apathy. May God use His truth that went forth to convict students over their sinfulness and may God reveal His Holiness to them. Oh, may God draw lost sinners to Himself, granting them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ the Lord.
