This is a subject that people don’t want to talk about, but it’s so important. I can’t get it out of my mind. This question of great importance is: do the flames of Hell await you? Do they? Most people will say of course not. Many will say that they don’t believe in a real Heaven or a literal Hell and others will say that the Hell described in the bible is just imagery, that it’s not to be taken literally.
If you don’t believe that Hell is a literal place, then you are calling Jesus Christ a liar. I’d tread very lightly if I were you. Let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). Jesus talked about Hell and He spoke on the subject a lot. So even though many pastors avoid talking about it, Hell is real and people need to hear about where they are headed, if they don’t repent and put their trust in Jesus. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36). If you die in your sins without believing with saving faith in the Lord Jesus, then you won’t see eternal life. You won’t make it to Heaven. When you die as an unrepentant sinner, then God’s wrath, His anger over your sins abides on you and it will do so forever. Hell is not annihilation. The lake of fire and brimstone burns forever and unrepentant sinners will burn there in torment for eternity.
In Revelation 21:8, Jesus said that the fearful, unbelieving…and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone: which is the second death. In Luke 16:22-24, Jesus tells us that the rich man died, was buried and in Hell lifted up his eyes and cried out to Father Abraham to have mercy on him because he’s being tormented in this flame. The rich man has been burning in Hell for over 2,000 years and he is still being tormented in the flames of Hell today. Jesus also described Hell as a place where the worm dies not and the fire is never quenched (Mark 9:47-48).
Many people don’t believe that the flames of Hell awaits them because most people think that they are good. Most of us are good by our own standards. But none of us meet God’s perfect standard (Romans 3:10-12). We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). There is nothing that we can do on our own to meet God’s Holy standard. So if you foolishly die in your sins, if you die without ever being born again (John 3:3-16), then the flames of Hell do await you and you can be sure of it. Jesus the Savior, the Messiah warned people about the reality of Hell.
But you don’t have to continue walking down the broad road to destruction. You can get on the narrow way that leads to life (Matthew 7:13-14). Jesus is the narrow Way. He is the Rock of our salvation. Come to Jesus today. He suffered, bled and died on the cruel cross and He bore God’s wrath over our sins as He hung there. Jesus rose from the grave triumphantly and God offers everlasting life to whosoever believes on Jesus. Belief is more than just intellectual knowledge. Believing in Jesus is realizing that you are a sinner and He is not. It’s knowing that He took the punishment for your sins that you deserved. Believing in Jesus is crying out to Him, Lord, have mercy on me a sinner. Believing faith is when you ask Him to forgive you for your sins and you trust that His finished on the cross was enough to take away your sins. Believing in Jesus is where you truly and fully surrender your life to Him. You say Your will Lord be done, not mine. You submit your life to His Lordship.
Will you do this today and extinguish the flames of Hell that are hot on your trail? Will you fall broken over your sins on the Rock? Will you surrender your life to Him? Will you believe in Jesus Christ today and receive eternal life? Will you come to Jesus? Will you repent – by changing your mind about your sins and put your faith in Jesus? Oh be saved today! Repent and believe the Gospel. Turn from your sin and turn to Jesus. Do this today, then deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Jesus every day. Confess that Jesus is Lord, believe that He died for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead and be saved (Romans 10:9-10). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13).

Does forbidden-fruit-eating merit eternal punishment?
Dear Christians, have you ever stopped to think about what the Christian story really says: Someone committed a crime. There is a severe penalty for committing that crime. And there is one means to avoid the penalty for that crime and to expunge the record of the perpetrator of that crime.
Crime: Forbidden fruit eating.
Penalty: A lifetime of hard labor, disease, war, rape, torture, starvation, agonizing physical death, and horrific eternal punishment/torture in the after life.
Means of Restitution: A human sacrifice.
Dear Christians: Isn’t it obvious? This is an ancient fable. No one living in the modern 21st century should believe this tall tale.

You can mock God until the day that you can’t and that day will be the day God takes away His mercy toward you and requires your very life. It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). You will stand before God one day. You will be without excuse. You will not suffer the torments of Hell because of Adam and Eve’s sin. You will not suffer the flames of Hell for your mom or your dad’s sins. You will suffer forever and ever for your own sins. The soul that sins, it shall die. When you stand before God on Judgment Day, you will be without excuse. Romans 3:19 says that your mouth will be stopped. You won’t mock God on the great and terrible day of Lord. Don’t foolishly die in your sins and spend eternity in Hell. Jesus said unless you repent, you will perish. Repent and trust Jesus.
