A few of us from Springfield, MO went down to Arkansas last weekend to witness and plead for the lives of innocent, unborn children. When we got there, we found 25 other people out there standing for life, pleading for life and sharing the Gospel. It was wonderful to see so many local people fighting for life and sharing God’s love.
The picture above is of Tom Tvedten, the abortionist in Little Rock, Arkansas. Yes, it is a picture of him and he appears to be drunk. He’s also in such physically bad shape that he can barely hobble from his vehicle to enter the house of horrors where he works. Take a good look at the picture. Can you imagine letting this guy operate on you? Or operate on your loved one? Obviously, the staff at the abortion clinic do not let the patients (murderers) see the “doctor” (head murderer). They know the women would flee in an instant.
What I really admire about the abolitionist in Little Rock is that they have a remodeled apartment that they offer women to use for a year, plus they will provide them groceries and other financial help if they will keep their baby. They even offer to help them find people who are willing to adopt their child after the baby is born. These people don’t just speak words of truth to the women, they are putting their love into action (Mark 12:31). It was truly amazing and it was a real honor to witness beside these godly warriors.
The heartbreaking part was that none of the mothers or dads would even come over and talk with us. I don’t know the count for sure, but I’d estimate seven or eight women had their babies murdered there at the clinic that Saturday morning. From what I’ve been told, the number is normally closer to 25 or 30 abortions on a typical Saturday. It was still heart wrenching, even though the number that day was much lower.
Another sad sight that day was seeing three or four vehicles pull into the abortion clinic parking lot with Christian fish symbols on the back of their vehicles. One Suburban type vehicle even had a church sticker on the back of it for New Life Church. It was sadly ironic to see the mother who drove that vehicle get out of it and help her daughter go into that disgusting building to kill an innocent baby. I wonder if she thought about the sticker on her vehicle that says “New Life Church” while they were going in there to “end a precious life”? Also, Jesus said you will know my disciples by their fruits (Matthew 7:16). How can a true Christian end the life of their unborn baby? So we will know false converts by their actions or works as well.
My hope and prayer is that the abolitionist in Little Rock will continue to show up in even greater numbers. I pray that local churches step up and join the battle for life and for lost souls. I pray that so many people show up in opposition to abortion that women who are considering going there will be too ashamed to go through with it. I pray that the presence of godly men, women and children will keep them from going through with sacrificing their child on the alter of convenience. Sacrificing innocent children is an abomination to God (Deuteronomy 12:31).
I hope and pray that the doctor of death is quickly put out of business. I also hope and pray this for the other 624 surgical abortion clinics around the country. I hope and pray that God raises up more laborers for the harvest. That God convicts more men and women around the country to go fight for the lives of innocent little children. I hope God raises up more men and women who will share their faith openly to this lost and dying world. I pray that America quits killing innocent children, whether the government considers it legal or not. It’s time to wake up America and repent. If you have had an abortion, you can be forgiven by God; but you must repent and put your faith in Jesus.
