Better Than Great
My wife and I were mall walking the other day and I saw a shirt on display that said, “What’s better than great?” How would you answer that question? Do you know what’s better than great?

My wife and I saw a bumper sticker on a vehicle the other day, “God loves you whether you like it or not.” We both read it and chuckled, but then it struck both of us how profound this simple statement really is. God really does love each and every one of us, whether we acknowledge or reciprocate that love.
Some friends and I were talking about a Christian book the other day, Parenting Moment by Moment. We were denied permission to sell the book at a large mall because it might be considered controversial or offensive. I was asking people if Christianity was offensive to them. One guy said well if it is an extremist book, then it may be offensive. [Read more…]
Here is a basic question for any atheists out there: Can life come from non-life? I ask this question because I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. I believe the Bible is completely true. II Timothy 3:16a says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God.” [Read more…]
I was talking to an atheist the other day, whom I’ve had many conversations with in the past. He said he didn’t believe in God (he’s said this many times in the past). But this time he stated again that he didn’t believe in God; but if he’s wrong, that God would consider him a good person. This atheist is very close to me, someone that I love. I genuinely believe that he thinks that he is a good person. [Read more…]
Ray Comfort with Way of the Master says that God is not subject to time; God made time for man (paraphrased). I’ve been thinking about this and a couple of Bible verses come to mind. [Read more…]
I had the opportunity to witness at Super Bowl 45 this year as part of the Super Bowl Outreach. I went to Dallas with seven other people who are with Born of Him Ministries. We had a great time of fellowship, evangelism training and then actual evangelism. I made a lot of new friends, including two open-air preachers from Ohio, who were part of our group for the weekend. We witnessed at the NFL Experience at the Convention Center and it was great. People were receptive and we had a really good time handing out tracts and open-air preaching.
Do you know any famous people? Have you ever met someone famous? A movie star, rock star or professional athlete? I met Amira at Super Bowl 45. She is a pop/hip hop artist. I was there with over 100 over evangelist from around the country. We were participating in the Super Bowl Outreach. We did some open-air preaching and later I was handing out tracts next to three people who were handing out material about a singer.
Every now and then someone would come running over and have their picture taken with the girl that was helping hand out advertisements for the singer. It finally dawned on me that she was the girl in ad! She was promoting her song on itunes Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. So I had my picture taken with her. She’s holding my gospel tract and I’m holding her advertisement for her new single.
How good is your hearing? Have you ever taken one of those hearing tests where they check each ear individually and then both ears together? How about your kids? Have you ever noticed how their hearing isn’t too good when you ask them to do something they don’t want to do? [Read more…]
Even though I’m getting older, I can still remember some things. Mainly useless trivia or unimportant things. But some important things that I should remember are just gone. Sometimes I just can’t retrieve the information. This gets very frustrating at times. On the other hand, sometimes I dwell on past mistakes too much. Sometimes I carry around burdens that I should have let go of a long time ago. [Read more…]
