Are You Hungry?

Turkey

I have to admit that I enjoy eating food. My waist line proves it. I need to lose a few pounds (and hopefully I can do that starting the new year). I love meat and potatoes and I seem to never fill up on deserts. [Read more…]

The Meaning of Christmas

christmas-tree-with-presents

What is the meaning of Christmas? The true meaning? Some people think it is about family. Others say it is to give presents and still other people think it is about receiving presents. Being around family and sharing presents is a great thing to do. It is joyful to see the faces of our children when they open their presents on Christmas Day. But is this really why we celebrate Christmas? [Read more…]

All Good People

December 19, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

God saved me from sins about four years ago and for about the past three years I have been actively sharing my faith with others. During that time, the thing that is most consistent (with professing Christians and non-Christians alike) is that most people think they are good. [Read more…]

Three Minutes to Live!

December 16, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

You are out driving on a country road and you come upon a bad accident. I’m alone in my car and I’ve run off the road where I hit a tree and a branch has impaled me. You are the first one to come upon the accident. You realize that an ambulance will never get to me in time. I’m bleeding badly and you estimate from my wound that I have three minutes to live. What do you say to me?  [Read more…]

Walking Together

Seek and Save the Lost Walking Together Pic

A little while back I saw a church sign that said, “Not to think alike, but to walk together.” I’m not sure what that really means, but my best guess is that they are saying, we love you, we accept you just as you are. Come on in and join us. We don’t care what you believe, we are all on our own spiritual journey. It doesn’t matter if we believe the same thing or not. In other words, anything goes. The important thing is to be together, love each other and accept each other. We don’t judge anyone. [Read more…]

Christians Don’t Do That!

December 9, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Several of us with Born of Him Ministries go out witnessing. Sometimes we are accused of being offensive, especially when we do open-air preaching. Sometimes people yell out “Christians don’t do that.” Sadly, the majority of the people who yell at us saying that we are offending them claim to be Christians themselves. [Read more…]

Don’t Let Anyone Tell You What To Believe

December 3, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Don’t let anyone tell you what to believe concerning your salvation. Now before my friends start throwing stones at me, I haven’t lost my mind. I’m not telling people that whatever they believe is alright. I’m not saying that you can claim Christ as Lord and live for Satan. I’m not teaching Universalism. [Read more…]

Born of Him Ministries

November 29, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com 2 Comments

Through reading the Bible, God convicted me that I wasn’t saved. This happened in 2007. Then God convicted me in the first part of 2009 that I needed to share my faith with others. Carla MacLachlan (author of Parenting Moment by Moment) loaned me the first two seasons of Way of the Master. After watching the second show of season 1, I bought some tracts. I started leaving those with tips to waitresses. Then God convicted me to hand them to people directly. Shortly, after that He convicted me to open my mouth and talk to people. [Read more…]

Why Should I Become a Christian?

Some of us with Born of Him Ministries witnessed at the atheist convention in Springfield last weekend. We handed out Gospel tracts and some people refused them, some handed them back to us and others tore them up. We also got into some good one on one conversations. [Read more…]

Atheists: Why Are We Here?

November 22, 2011 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Atheists: why are we here? What is the purpose of life? Why are you on this earth? Are you a waste of space? Let’s say you live a normal life expectancy, or even beyond, say to 80, 85 years. What good does that do you? Will your life make a difference? Are you just here to eat, drink and be merry? [Read more…]
