Anything Goes

Anything Goes blog pic

A lot of people today believe in “live and let live.” Everyone can believe what they want to believe. It’s all relative. You believe what you want to believe and I’ll believe what I want to believe and we all just leave each other alone. You shouldn’t “push” your beliefs on others. You can do what you want as long as it feels good. You can do what you want as long as you aren’t hurting anyone else. [Read more…]

Backwards in America

A 17 year old Kentucky girl was sexually assaulted by two boys last year after she fell unconscious after drinking too much. The two 17 year old boys also took pictures of the assault and passed them around. Both boys have agreed to a plea bargain that the victim considers a slap on the wrist. So she posted their names on twitter to let people know about the injustice that is happening to her. Now, she faces up to 180 days in jail and a $500 fine. That’s just backwards. Everything seems backwards in America. [Read more…]

Are Christians Willing to Do More?

Chick fil a line

While out street witnessing, we have run into atheists, pagans, wiccans, new agers and members of every cult you can think of. Satan has deceived so many people. It reminds me of Judges 17:6 where it says “every man did what was right in his own eyes.” You see so much evil that you are sure that God has forsaken America because America has forsaken God. Ministry Update July 28, 2012

We have been told that people are encouraged when we update them about Born of Him Ministries. So here goes. We ask that you pray for the people we are able to witness to; that God will convict the lost and send people to disciple them.  [Read more…]

Nothing From Nothing Leaves…

A couple of us with Born of Him Ministries were recently street witnessing in downtown Springfield, MO and we talked to said that he only believed in science and evolution. (Please note the theory of evolution came from Charles Darwin and it used to be called a theory and somehow it now passes as science. Funny thing is, even Darwin himself said that if his theory was right, that we would find millions of transitory fossils within 50 years. It’s been over 150 years and we are still waiting to find them). [Read more…]

Bumper Sticker Religion

July 20, 2012 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com 3 Comments

I’ve heard several pastors and Christian friends say over the years that they don’t believe in bumper sticker religion. They don’t believe that we should promote Christianity by putting bumper stickers on our cars.

I respectfully disagree with this opinion. There are three reasons why I believe that we should display Christian bumper stickers on our cars:

God’s Love and the Wrath of God!

The Love and Wrath of God

Do you remember when you were a little kid playing with other children and one kid would inevitably take a toy that you were playing with and then you would complain to a parent or teacher about it? Or do you remember what it felt like when an older kid picked on one of your friends? We all have a sense of fairness; even little children. [Read more…]

Worst Trainwreck in US History

Two trains were heading right toward each other in 1918, each going around 50 to 60 miles per hour when they collided. The wreckage left the wooden railroad cars crumpled up and the crash produced 101 deaths and 171 persons injured. This was the worst train crash in U.S. history. [Read more…]

Only a Fool Represents Himself

Robert Henry Best convicted of treason in 1948

Have you ever heard the saying of Samuel Johnson, “An attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client?” In the United States of America, judges recognize that only a foolish person would try to represent himself in court. Most of us don’t know the rules of law and we don’t know the court cases to cite for our defense. That’s why only a fool represents himself – it would be absolutely crazy to do so. [Read more…]

You May Be a False Convert if…

Jeff Foxworthy

Jeff Foxworthy has made a living telling redneck jokes. I’m sure you’ve heard him say, “you may be a redneck if…”. I was thinking the other day of some of the things I used to believe (and say) when I was a false convert. So, I feel qualified to state the following because these used to apply to me. [Read more…]
