I gave up diet sodas about two months ago. I used to drink six to eight a day. Now my wife and I are focusing on eating healthier and exercising. I hate giving up sweets, but I know I need to do it. When it comes to exercising, I usually think that I’ll start tomorrow. Why do we put off exercising? We know it’s good for us, so why do we put it off? [Read more…]
I have an old high school friend who tells me every now and then that I need to slow down my religious posts on Facebook. He’s concerned that I’m coming on too strong. In fact he recently described what I’m doing on Facebook as “Facebook pulpit overdrive.” I appreciate his comments and his concerns, but I don’t see myself backing off any time soon. [Read more…]
Do you remember that feeling the first time you fell in love? Some people call it puppy love or maybe infatuation and others call it being enamored. You miss them when they are gone. It may feel too comfortable sometimes, but love is a wonderful thing. [Read more…]
Even though my youngest daughter is a teenager, she is still afraid of the dark. I keep telling her that God is with us in the night time just like He is during the day. Are you receiving it by submitting your life to Jesus Christ our Lord? Or are you rejecting this amazing love?

The list could go on and on, but you get the picture, we wait…a lot. What are you waiting on? What are you waiting for? [Read more…]
I’m no George Whitefield, but I’ve been accused of presenting a harsh Gospel so I’d like to clear the air. If you mean by presenting people with the truth as found in the Bible, then I admit that I do that. If I’m accused of teaching a harsh Gospel because I talk too much about the wrath of God, then I plead guilty to that charge too. Why do I talk so much about the wrath of God? Because it’s in the Bible! [Read more…]
I usually wear a sports jacket and dress pants to work. But every now and then I wear a suit and tie; I “suit up.” Some people wear uniforms, scrubs, jeans, shorts, flip flops – you name it. We wear a variety of different clothes to work or school. [Read more…]
