November 16, 2012 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

Jesus bore our griefs and carried our sorrows while He hung on the cross. He bore our griefs. He carried our sorrows. Have you confessed and forsaken your sins? Have you turned all your problems over to our Lord? Have your put your trust in Jesus Christ?

Rejected!

When Jesus walked this earth over 2,000 years ago, He was rejected by His own people. Some things never change. Unfortunately, many people today still reject the King of kings and Lord of lords. How about you? Do you follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or do you REJECT Him?

Super Human Being

Jesus was fully God and fully man. I don’t know about you, but when I read about the miracles that Jesus performed, I sometimes envision Him as looking like a super human being. But read the words of Isaiah in chapter 53:2.

I Used to be a Christian

Atheist fish

“I used to be a Christian.” Sometimes we hear these words when we are out witnessing: when we hand out Gospel tracts, do one to one witnessing and open-air preaching. People will come up to us and tell us that we believe in a fairy tale and that we should leave people alone. [Read more…]

Black and White

black-and-white-tvBlack and white police car

Young people may not realize this, but tv’s used to be black and white. Police cars back in the 1970’s were called black and whites because they were painted like the police car pictured above. Black and white may be considered an old fashioned term. People nowadays want to talk about tolerance. There always seems to be shades of gray. We don’t like to think in terms of black and white or right and wrong. [Read more…]

Missouri State Penitentiary Gas Chamber blog pic

A lot of young people talk about zombies and the walking dead. It’s almost like you can’t get away from this subject. But instead of talking about the walking dead, I want to focus on the phrase “dead man walking.” Back in the 1960’s, correctional officers used to yell out “dead man walking” when a death row inmate was taking the last walk down the hallway to his execution (the state of Missouri used to carry out the death sentence by using the gas chamber). Do You Hide or Confess Your Sins?

Proverbs 28_13 Blog Pic

We all sin. Even born-again believers still sins. So the question is: What do you do with your sins? Do you try to hide them – like Adam and Eve tried to hide themselves in the garden of Eden after they sinned (Genesis 3:7-8)? Or do you confess and forsake your sins (Proverbs 28:13)? Do you hide or confess your sins? [Read more…]

You Can’t Earn This!

Grade Card

There are a lot of things we earn during our lifetime. We earn grades in school (good or bad). We earn awards or a spot on a team. We earn the trust of our friends. Later on we go to work and earn a living. We get paid for doing our job. We put in the effort and then we are rewarded with a paycheck.
