I Am Philip Seymour Hoffman and I Have Fame and…

Hoffman Oscar Pic Website

I am Philip Seymour Hoffman. I’ve won several awards over the years, but my prized possession is the Oscar that I won for Best Actor in 2005 for Capote. That was the best night of my life. Well, I really don’t remember much of it, but I’m sure it was the best night of my life. They like me, they really like me. [Read more…]

You Can’t Fool God

Black and White Person web pic

How do you witness to an atheist? The same way you witness to anyone following a cult and the same way you witness to a false convert. You take the person through some of the 10 Commandments. God gave us the commandments for a reason. God is righteous and Holy and His standard is perfection. Jesus summed up the 10 Commandments this way: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). [Read more…]

Are You Living Christian?

Seek and Save Are You Living Christian Website Pic

I’ve been street witnessing for the past five years and one thing that you can count on is that over 90% of the people will answer yes if you ask them if they are a good person. The Bible actually backs this up; not that people are good, but that they will proclaim themselves good. Proverbs 20:6 says Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? So this fact shouldn’t be surprising. By the way, the Bible actually says that there are none righteous, no not one (Psalm 14:1).  [Read more…]

Don’t Drink the Water

West Virginia Chemical Spill

West Virginia Chemical Spill

Since the water from the chemical spill a couple of weeks ago in West Virginia still smells bad, many of the local residents refuse to drink or use the water. In spite of the government’s insistence that the water is safe, the water has been polluted. It is nasty and unfit for human consumption. The water has been defiled. The chemical spill contaminated good drinking water and made it unusable. The water is no longer pure – it is impure. [Read more…]

Repent! Repent! Repent!

Seek and Save Turn Sinner Website

Repent. Sadly, this word is not used in most of our churches in America. We have watered down the Gospel so much that it isn’t even the Gospel anymore. It’s a counterfeit. It’s a fake. Most preachers and “professing” Christians alike tell you that if you accept Jesus into your heart that your life will become wonderful, because God has a wonderful plan for your life. You just need to add Jesus to what you already have and life will be super great – you can have your best life now. Folks, this watered down false gospel is no Gospel at all (Galatians 1:6-9). But it’s easy for people to swallow down and it just as easily runs right on out of their bodies. It is worthless and all it does is coddle people all the way to Hell (2 Corinthians 4:4). Jesus Wept

Jesus Wept1

Jesus Wept. This is the shortest verses in the Bible (KJV) and it is one of my favorite verses (John 11:35). Reading how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead wonderfully and fully shows us that Jesus was fully God and fully man (John 11:1-53). Jesus received word that Lazarus was sick, but he stayed where he was at for a couple of more days. He did this intentionally. He purposefully waited until Lazarus died before He headed to Bethany. By the time Jesus got there, Lazarus had been dead for four days. Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead truly shows us that Jesus is fully God. [Read more…]

You Are Not Being Very Christlike

Jesus Reaching For You

You are not being very Christlike. We heard this last Friday when we were out here street preaching. Well, I have to admit that God did not perform any healing miracles through us. We didn’t feed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fishes. We didn’t walk on water. We didn’t raise anyone from the dead. So in that respect, I guess you could say that we were not Christlike. In The Beginning

Sunrise 1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1). Then in Genesis 1:16-19 it states And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. [Read more…]

The Enemy

Do you have any enemies? Maybe it’s a former girlfriend or boyfriend or a co-worker or someone at school that you just can’t stand to be around? Do you hate anyone? Who is your enemy? Maybe you don’t have any enemies at the present time. Remember when you were a kid back in grade school even up to high school; did you have any enemies back then? I did! I’m not proud of that fact, but there were people that I truly hated with every fiber of my being? Looking back on those times I now see how foolish I was. [Read more…]

No Third Option

December 3, 2013 by dennis@seekandsavethelost.com Leave a Comment

franklin_james option pic

A lot of college and NFL football teams use the spread offense (like the Missouri Tigers…who are playing in the SEC Championship Game!). With the spread offense, the quarterback basically has three options: 1. He can throw the ball (sometimes he does this after faking a hand off). 2. He can keep the ball and run with it himself. 3. He can hand or pitch the ball to the running back. The Missouri Tigers are now 11-1 and they have executed the spread offense very effectively this year. [Read more…]
