God Will Judge The Wicked
You can’t fool the Lord. God will judge the wicked. He is Holy, righteous and just. The Lord is all powerful, all knowing and ever present. God cannot tolerate sin and He does punish sin. Even though you may think that you are “getting away” with your sins, you are not. God knows all, sees all and will punish all; all those who refuse to repent and trust Jesus.
The wicked will be judged by God. Listen to Jeremiah 1:14-16: Then the Lord said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the Lord; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
God Warned The Israelites
God warned the Israelites in the Old Testament that He was going to send judgment upon them. Why? Because of their sins. They worshipped false gods. They sacrificed their children to the false god Molech. Sexual immorality was rampant. They did what they wanted to do. The majority of the Israelites lived as if there were no God. If I hadn’t just mentioned the Israelites and the Old Testament, I could just as easily have been talking about America, today.
Many people nowadays like to pretend that America didn’t start off as a religious nation, but that is just revisionist history. The Declaration of Independence references God four different times. We were most definitely a religious nation at one time. But sadly, we have become very secular. People run around touting anything goes. You can believe what you want to believe as long as you’re not a Christian. There’s tolerance for everything nowadays except for Christianity. If you stand on biblical principles, you are called a bigot who spews forth hate speech. Do you hate me because I tell you the truth? The only sin in America today is calling sin, sin.
God Still Calls Sin, Sin
God still calls sin, sin and the Lord still punishes unrepentant sinners. Our righteous Creator cannot tolerate sin and He pronounces judgment upon the wicked. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. You are not getting away with anything tonight. God is keeping record and you will give an account for every sin, small or great on Judgment Day. God will punish those who forsake Him. He will punish those who live like there is no God.
I’m not talking about a slap on the wrist; just like if you receive a speeding ticket for going 5 miles an hour over the speed limit. More than likely you would just pay a fine and go on your way. No big deal. No, God’s judgment isn’t just a slap on the wrist. God’s righteous anger over sin lasts forever.
Do not be deceived tonight, the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
Are you living contrary to God tonight? Are you a homosexual? Or maybe you are an adulterer or a fornicator? (A fornicator is someone who is having sex outside of biblical marriage). Are you transgender? If so, you are telling the great Creator God that He made a mistake when He formed you in the womb. Maybe you are a drunkard or thief. Are you living contrary to God? What in your life do you love more than God? Money? Sports? Someone else? Do not be deceived the unrighteous will not make it to Heaven, no matter how good you think you are.
Maybe you say I’m not any of those things tonight. Well, have you ever told a lie? If so, that makes you a liar. Hear what Jesus says about unrepentant liars: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).
The Abominable
This is another list of folks that won’t make it to Heaven and neither of these all-inclusive lists of sins. The fearful. Are you afraid of dying? Do you know where you are going after you die? Unbelieving. Now this one includes everyone that denies Jesus Christ is Lord. You may be an outright atheist and deny Jesus. If so, you are an unbeliever. Even if you believe in Jesus, you may be an unbeliever by denying Him with your words or your actions. Do you claim Christ tonight with your lips while your heart is far from Him?
The abominable includes all sexually immoral people as well as murderers. You can be a murderer by killing a baby in the womb. Yes, the guy that coerces a woman into having an abortion is just as guilty as the woman and the doctor that murder the baby.
Anyone who drives a woman to get an abortion or pays for it or is merely pro-choice is guilty of the abomination of abortion. But you don’t have to actually shed blood to be a murderer. You can be angry without cause or merely hating someone is murder in your heart. You may hate my friends and I for standing out here and sharing God’s truth with you. If so, then you are a murderer at heart.
Who Or What Do You Love?
Idolaters are on this list. Anything you love more than God is your idol. What do you spend most of your time, money and talents on? More than likely, that is your idol. Then Jesus even includes all liars. All liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. All liars. Folks, no matter how good you think you are tonight, we have all lied. Most of us have stolen. We’ve all created idols at one time or another, even if we just created them in our minds. I created a false god that I worshiped for 33 years. Most of us have committed sexual sins, even if they were committed in our hearts.
We are all vile sinners. All of us deserve God’s everlasting wrath and judgment upon us. We have all sinned against the great God of Heaven and earth. None of us are righteous on our own. Not a single one of us. We have all gone astray or away from God.
This should bother you tonight. It should scare you that God will judge the wicked. There is a day of reckoning coming. It’s appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). What will you do with your sins on Judgment Day? There will be no place to hide. No one to blame, but yourself.
Your Sins Remain Upon Your Own Head
Your sins are upon your own head today if Jesus is not your LORD and Savior. If you die in your sins, in other words if you die without Jesus Christ, your sins, the guilt of your sins remain upon you. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36). They will remain upon you for all of eternity if you die without Jesus. Not only will God judge the wicked, but He will punish you forever.
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).
In Matthew 25:41 Jesus says: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. Daniel 12:2 states: And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Better Than Being Cast Into Hell Fire
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (Mark 9:43-48).
Those who die without Jesus Christ, those who die in their sins as unrepentant sinners, will suffer the torments of eternal flames with no relief. God’s judgment will be upon you forever. You will cry out for mercy, but none will be given. Oh, you will beg for relief, but instead you will continue to curse God and gnash your teeth forever and ever. You will scream for help, but no one will help you. Others burning in the lake of fire and brimstone will be consumed with their own pain and won’t care about your suffering. Those in Heaven couldn’t help you even if they wanted to. You will be on your own, suffering horrible pain and agony for all of eternity.
Don’t Continue Racing Down The Broad Road To Destruction
But you don’t have to continue racing down the broad road to destruction. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13-14).
Salvation is of the Lord. Jesus is the only Savior of mankind. Jesus is the one who can take away your sins and give you His righteousness. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:19-21).
This is the great exchange. Jesus takes your sins, all your sins; every single one of your wicked, depraved thoughts, words and deeds and carries them upon Himself as He hung on the cruel cross. Then He gives you His righteousness. In other words you can be made right with God, through Christ alone.
Righteousness Of Jesus
God will see you through the lens of His righteous, sinless Son, if you repent and trust Jesus. The Lord suffered, bled and died on the old rugged cross, enduring God’s anger over sin. Then up from the grave He arose. Jesus is the victor and you can be victorious tonight, through Christ Jesus.
Oh, don’t suffer God’s wrath over your sins. Don’t foolishly die in your sins and receive everlasting punishment for your rebellion against almighty God and your rejection of His only begotten Son. Turn from your sins and turn to Jesus. Trust Christ Jesus. Trust Him with all your heart. Submit your life to King Jesus. Surrender your life fully and completely to Him.
Become a new creature in Christ Jesus. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Your sins can be forgiven. Your conscience can be cleared. Receive peace that surpasses all understanding. Come to Jesus. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ the Lord and receive everlasting life.
