I usually wear a sports jacket and dress pants to work. But every now and then I wear a suit and tie; I "suit up." Some people wear uniforms, scrubs, jeans, shorts, flip flops - you name it. We wear a variety of different clothes to work or school.
The Bible talks about how we should "dress." The apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:11-17 to put on the whole armor of God to equip us so we can stand against the devil. In verse 12 Paul says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Satan is a real being who roams the earth like a roaring lion ( 1 Peter 5:8). He's a fallen angel and he is here on earth to wreck havoc with our lives -Christians and non-Christians alike. ... >> full

Felix Hernandez a 26 old pitcher for the Seattle Mariners pitched a perfect game on August 15, 2012. Pitching a perfect game in the major league baseball has only happened 23 times. Congratulations to Felix on quite an accomplishment.
A perfect game in baseball happens when the pitcher faces 27 batters (all nine innings) and not a single batter makes it to first base. Every batter makes an out. It is very rare indeed. So what would a perfect game look like in terms of our salvation? What would it take to be perfect before God?
Well in baseball terms it would be the equivalent of pitching a perfect game each and every game that you played your whole life. From little league on up through the majors. In addition to that, it would also entail getting a hit each and every time you went to bat - from little league on ... >> full

A lot of people today believe in "live and let live." Everyone can believe what they want to believe. It's all relative. You believe what you want to believe and I'll believe what I want to believe and we all just leave each other alone. You shouldn't "push" your beliefs on others. You can do what you want as long as it feels good. You can do what you want as long as you aren't hurting anyone else.
Do any of these sound familiar to you? They do to me. It seems like anything goes now days. The envelope gets pushed farther and farther all the time. Look at all the hot button issues right now. There is a real extreme range of beliefs and frankly, everyone believing what they want to believe can't be right.
Why? Because they are polar opposites. You may worship the false "god" of pornography or child ... >> full

A 17 year old Kentucky girl was sexually assaulted by two boys last year after she fell unconscious after drinking too much. The two 17 year old boys also took pictures of the assault and passed them around. Both boys have agreed to a plea bargain that the victim considers a slap on the wrist. So she posted their names on twitter to let people know about the injustice that is happening to her. Now, she faces up to 180 days in jail and a $500 fine. That's just backwards.
There has been an uproar recently over comments made by the President of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy where he said that his company supports the biblical definition of the family unit - traditional marriage between a man and a woman. He's been accused of being a hater, an anti-gay bigot and a homophobe. He's being picked on because he supports marriage between ... >> full

(The long line at Chick-fil-A at the Battlefield Mall Springfield, MO around 12:30 pm on August 1, 2012)
While out street witnessing, we have run into atheists, pagans, wiccans, new agers and members of every cult you can think of. Satan has deceived so many people. It reminds me of Judges 17:6 where it says "every man did what was right in his own eyes." You see so much evil that you are sure that God has forsaken America because America has forsaken God.
But the wonderful turn out for Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day by hundreds of thousands of people all around the country was a real blessing to witness. It makes you realize that there are plenty of people who still believe in God and His Holy Word and this reminds me of where God said that He had reserved 7,000 who hadn't bowed down to Baal ( 1 Kings 19:18).
It was a ... >> full
